Bola Abimbola

Bola is an award winning vocalist, recording artist, percussionist and producer from Lagos, Nigeria.  Bola Abimbola’s career in music began on the EMI record label at the age of 19 with his first recording, Silifa Bamijo, featuring a Yoruba-language version of Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough”.  Bola worked with American music legend Linda Ronstadt on the project which became a runaway success.  Bola has also toured and recorded as a solo artist, as well as with King Sunny Ade, Sikiru Adepoju and Giovanni Hidalgo, amongst others.  

His calling and passion for Kingdom work remain a top priority.  Bola's joyful nature and contagious laughter keeps everyone smiling in the studio.  He always has a watchful eye on the creative process, and works hard to make sure that every project that enters the studio reaches its full creative potential. 



Laura is a devoted wife, mother and working professional.  She fills the roles of organizer, list-maker, writer, do-er of computer-type things, part-time blogger and full-time lover of music. 

Laura and Bola co-founded Faith City Records in 2009.  FCR is a labor of love for the Abimbola family, and the fulfillment of a lifelong dream and ambition for Bola.  Imagine a household full of music, dancing, instruments and laughter, and you will begin to know what the Abimbola family and the studio are truly like.
